A Beat of Our Own Bronx Theatre reviews
save your money
I spent 70 dollars to see A Beat of Our Own, but it was definitely not worth it. The show was basic improv, worth 25 dollars and a 1 drink minimum. His friends and him had no written material and were just making fun of the people in the first row. The material he had was short-lived and no one was really laughing. I was expecting a show at the level of his good HBO special, but that's not what I got. He just threw something together for us regular folk, I guess.
I was sooo surprised because his HBO special was really good. Not what I got. Save your money and wait till he does a 25 dollar show at the improv, because with that level of show I can guarantee he won't be able to fill no auditoriums going forward. The venue was half empty anyway. I guess I found out about him late.
